Easily plug this custom harness into your towed car to get the turn and brake signals you need for flat towing. Unlike other kits out there, this harness protects your vehicle from electrical feedback without you needing to splice in extra diodes.
When you're towing a car behind your motorhome, you'll need a way to get the tail, brake, and turn signals from your RV to the car to be safe and legal. This kit plugs into factory ports on your vehicle so your car can display the electrical signals coming from your motorhome. That way everyone on the road knows what your rig is up to as you tow.
This is a completely plug-and-play option for your vehicle, so the installation of this kit will be quick and easy.
While this kit has everything you need to get your towed car wired and ready, you'll still need some gear to get moving. To connect to your RV's electrical, you'll need an umbilical, and you'll need to make sure the plugs on that cord match the ones on your RV as well as the 4-way that's now on your car. If your RV has a 7-way, C57271 is a great option.
Something else to think about is whether or not you need a brake light relay. If your car's brake lights illuminate when the engine is off, you'll need to install a relay (RM-88400 - sold separately) to make sure the brake signal overrides the turn signal sent by your RV when you're slowing down to turn while towing.
And of course, there are a ton of other parts and accessories that will make towing your vehicle easy. Feel free to shop around our site or drop us a line if you have any questions. And once you get all set up, don't forget to send us a review full of pictures so we can see your rig out on the open road!

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at this Blue Ox EZ Light Tow Bar Wiring Kit for the Ford F-150 trucks. Now, this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2015 to 2020 Ford F-150 trucks. Also fits the 2017 to 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor trucks.
And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now, basically, when you're towing a car behind your motor home, you're gonna need a way to get the tail, brake, and turn signals from that RV to the car, to be safe and legal. This kit here will plug into your factory connector on your vehicle to connect the electrical signals from the motor home to the car. Now, this is a complete plug-and-play option for your vehicle, so the installation of the kit will be quick and easy. It is a complete kit.
It includes all the hardware and installation components you're gonna need, including detailed instructions. The parts it'll include is everything here on the table, includes the converter box, right here, with the wiring. Over here, we have a four-way flat-mounting bracket with hardware. And, basically, what that's for is when you run this four-way up to the front of your vehicle, you don't want it just hanging there, so they give you this bracket that'll let you hold it into place. Also comes with a four-way dust cap that you can put on that four-way when it's not being used.
You can cover the terminals, protect it from any damage. As we mentioned, comes with the hardware for the bracket. Comes with a pack of terminal grease to put on all your electrical connection. The screw, here, is a grounding screw. If you notice on the four-way, it has this white wire with an eyelet on it, that needs to collect to a good, clean ground if there's one nearby.
If not, you can use that grounding screw to make a ground. And it comes with some extra cable ties to take up any slack in the wiring. And, basically, to install this, as we mentioned, it's pretty easy. At the rear of the vehicle, what you're gonna do is locate the inline connector that'll be adjacent to the bumper on the driver's side of the vehicle. The connector assembly has a harness leading to the taillights; this is what you'll plug into that connector on the vehicle. And then once you do that, you're gonna run this four-way wiring up to the front of the vehicle, to have this in front to plug in, and, again, you'll use the bracket with the hardware to attach it. Use the dust cover if you need to. Terminal grease, we've mentioned, on all your electrical connections. Now, always remember, if you have any questions regarding this product or any of our products, please don't hesitate to contact us via phone, chat, or email, or if you've purchased any product, please send us pictures of it being used in your application, 'cause we'd love to see how those products are working out for you. But that's gonna do it for a look at this Blue Ox EZ Light Tow Bar Wiring Kit for your Ford F-150 trucks.
Thank you. It worked well.
I did not receive a tracking number so there was no way for me to verify …… you can tell me the carrier, but if I don’t receive a tracking number, there’s nothing I can do so this is a critical flaw within your notification of shipment
would not plug-in to factory wiring without remodeling

Sorry to hear that, Perry. I am a little surprised to hear this though. This is a pretty standard plug for F150 trucks from 2015 to 2019 (all engine options as well as both the 6 speed and 10 speed transmissions). Not to ask a dumb question, but are you sure you are looking at the correct plug? Is there any way you could send me a couple pictures?
